what exactly are you trying to do?
headphones are an output device? are you trying to forward another app into voice assistant for some reason?
When I am at my desk, I have my headset on 99% of the time. Thus it'd be ideal if I could use its mic and speakers for communicating with the voice assistant.
What OS is your PC running?
You can with Linux voice assistant, I wrote about it yesterday.

This post assumes you're using docker for ha not haOS, however if you have all the voice assistant stuff setup already, you can skip the first part of it and go with the LVA setup directly
A quick guide on setting up Home Assistant Voice Assistant with local mic and speaker support inside docker.
Yeah, this is sort of where I was going using linux-voice-assistant on the PC if its a Linux PC.
Windows mostly and WSL for anything productive on the command line. I'll piez0r's suggestion a shot. Binding the headset to the WSL is easy enough.
