I'm dragging my feet moving to haos from debian supervised because i'm running frigate with coal tpu detection and a nvidia gpu for encoding and decoding but i keep reading that haos has no nvidia driver support but most posts are from 2024 or older that i've seen is this still the case?

it is still the case, what is your hardware?
if you have the hardware overhead then running a hypervisor like proxmox is a great option. that way you can run HAOS and another OS in seperate vm's
or switch to a container install and then for any addons you need you can run stand alone containers instead of addons.

HW way OP for haos but great for running frigate 4k camers+jellyfin+ small llms. being busy its great having HA tell me when there are new updates for all of that and just do it in one interface...

proxmox is probably a good option then.
run haos then run another debian VM alongside it and passthrough your GPU and TPU to the debian vm
