I need some without dead bolt and some with dead bolt*
U.S. and sorry new to HA what do you mean by protocols I'm not sure what protocol options there are. I have a WiFI mesh system so I just assumed the smart locks would connect over WiFi
They can. But you could also be potentially looking at something like zwave, zigbee, matter/thread.
Well what would you recommend?
You’re probably looking at something from Schlage.
I use zwave locks from Yale.
Aqara U200
You can use it with bluetooth and if you later on buy matter hub (doesn't have to be theirs) you could then use it remotely as well. But to be fair their hub works really well with homeassistant so it might be worth it too :) If you have Apple Watch you could unlock the doors with it too - check reviews and their page to check if it fits your needs.
Will that lock fit sliding door ?
I’m in Ireland or is it for States only ? Thx
@cloud moth I just got the U200 U400, but it doesnt seem to allow me to use any other Thread controller than theirs. Do you have any evidence/docs on how to have Aqara use the Home Assistant ZBT-2 instead?
