Hey everyone!
I’m looking for a smart meter with CT clamps to measure both my home power consumption and solar production.
Ideally something that’s not too expensive, reliable, and works well with Home Assistant.

I’ve seen some people using Shelly EM or other DIY solutions, what do you recommend?
Would love to hear your experiences or suggestions (pros/cons, accuracy, integration, etc).

Thanks in advance!

Shelly is going to be my general recommendation, I have multiple of their ct using devices.
another option: Athom make one that runs ESPHome in a 2 channel and 6 channel version. I have one of the 6ch versions and it seems to work great but i dont activly use it currently as the project i got it for went another direction for now. however i did test it. it seems to slightly less accurate then the shelly but unless you need perfectly exact numbers for something then its definitely accurate enough for a bit of house monitoring.

I didn’t know about Athom. It does look nice, but it’s probably not worth it, at least for the 2-channel version, which is what I’d need in my case, since it’s only about €10 cheaper than a Shelly EM.
However, I just came across this project, which seems really interesting for the price: https://github.com/jibrilsharafi/EnergyMe-Home

But you need a second clamp to use the second channel
