#Rookie remote-access question

there are various ways to access your home assistant setup from outside your home. NC cloud just makes it easy and has some other benefits along with the fact that it supports the project financially.
you can directly port forward or tunnel with something like cloudflare or tailscale etc...
try tailscale
using tailscale you have an all in one packet without needs to open ports on router. check https://discord.com/channels/1379528469859532931/1379528470354198551
and it's free.
(sorry nabu)
i do have nabu though
yup, me too. the backup storage is handy. but i dont really use any of the other stuff. I have a wireguard VPN to my network running on my router anyway.
for me its about supporting more than anything.
same for me, allthough i do like the voice stuff over nabu making things really easy
yeah, i have messed with it a bit and its handy as a fallback so i can switch to it whilst messing with local stuff. so everything still works in the meantime.
So… Cloudflare Tunnel free? Tailscale… Funnel… ?
So, I’d somehow set them up to provide remote access to a Home Assistant Green, say… ?
yup, people do it all the time, I am sure there's a bunch of guides for setting it up on youtube etc...
Thanks.
Oh, and - assuming I set up with the Apple Home bridge - could I still control the HA setup from Apple stuff remotely?
