HA stuck on Loading Data

From this morning I have been experiencing a strange issue with HA: when I try to use the Companion App or the website it stays stuck on Loading Data. HA by itself is working (automations and APIs are working). I can access the CLI, but the logs don’t tell me anything in particular. I am running 2025.10.1

This started for me this week also, trying to find the cause but not successful yet. I was on 2025.9.3 but this morning upgraded to 2025.10.3 and it still happens after a few hours

Have you changed the purge_keep_days value in configuration.yaml before this happened?

I had tried to set it to 90 days, but for some reason it caused this issue, i changed it to 30 and it is now working fine

Yes, database will grow, but causes trouble only when storage is full i guess

Running on Raspberry?

When I did the change Home Assistant stopped working almost immediately, so I’m kinda sure it was the cause

But I don’t know if this is also the case for others

There's usually not a whole lot of good reasons to change the purge days nowadays.

I had not changed that. I cleaned up HACs integrations I was no longer using and it hasn't happened again in 5 days.
