#Does anyone know of UK home assistant compatible smart portable radiators?

As I understand, in the UK you can change the property but it must be put back to the original state once the rental ends (unless agree with landlord).
So assuming the radiators valves are semi-modern (1980+) then I think something like the Shelly TRV (otherwise search Zigbee TRV, Home Assistant TRV or Smart Home TRV for other brands) should work. This is its compatiability list: https://kb.shelly.cloud/__attachments/808615938/Shelly-TRV-Valves-compatibility-list-new.pdf?inst-v=77c4116f-ac29-41fd-b00f-7a56120b8865.
I am fairly sure that the procedure for installing a TRV is really easy to do and to reverse at the end, e.g. https://youtu.be/9M1EVjEaHfI?t=102
This shows the different parts
They are electric radiators wired into the walls. They have on of switches. I bought a switch bot to try and use them to turn them on or off but the switches are too stiff.
I suspect you could get your electrician to wire in some of these inside the switch: https://shellystore.co.uk/product/shelly-1pm-gen4/
Then they can be controlled with Zigbee/Matter/WiFi

Maybe but I don't want to put too much into this property. Id rather just buy some smart radiators I can take with me when I leave or sell if I don't need anymore. When I buy my own place I will be doing what you suggest
There are a couple on Amazon, tho I suspect they all will be working through some sort of Tuya Cloud enabled workings
You may have a bit better luck with smartness on IR instead of oil ones, tho at worst you should be able to use a simple smart plug to turn it off and on and buy a dumb one. Even tho this may limit your reasonable output power
