I have a Reolink Hub with two Argus Track 4K UHD camera attached to it (WiFi, battery-powered). I'm trying - unsuccessfully so far - to create an automation that will allow me to turn the cameras on and off. The purpose is simple: I want the camera to stop "watching" and stop recording while I'm at home, as well as saving battery.
Any idea how can I achieve this? I couldn't find any option to turn on/off in Reolink integration.

if person X is not in home zone, action: switch off camera. Just automate.
trigger: if home - action: switch camera on
Maybe your camera is not supported. Check https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/reolink/
Thanks. The integration part is easy. The thing is that I couldn't find and "switch camera on" / "off" option. I also went over the link you shared again (used it before). What do I miss?
Check entities if some are disabled, in reolink integration check Show More options, enable. If its not there im running out of options. Done a reBOOT after adding integration?
All entities are enabled, and yes, done a reboot
Firmware upgrade on cam?
Done
IIRC, Reolink don't expose the On/Off API, but I'm not sure. Assuming this is the case, I wonder whether there are any solid workarounds
Dont know, mine has the on off, so cam related. Maybe make new thread with custom repo for reolink cam typenumber
Don't the radios go to sleep to save battery until motion is detected?
How would you turn on and off then
So it seems battery powered reolink cams dont go with reolink integration. Check HACS for alternative, do google search thing 😉
The battery powered ones use a hub I think? Don't have any myself
They can work also without the hub, but in my case I do use hub
maybe stupid question: did HA/Reolink integration found and installed your hub or your cam alone?
