What's the best way to determine that all defined people are away?
I don't see a way of creating a persons group?

I've been having some problems with zones...very inconsistent, with my home zone often reporting a 0, when I'm home.

@turbid reef I'm using ubiquiti to track Home/away based on if devices are connected to WiFi instead of using location services through the home assistant app.
I don't think that works well with zones, do you know a different way for tracking if everyone is away?

Zones track people. People are set as home/away based on the entities that are tied to them, in settings -> people.
If you have people that aren’t correctly being set to home/away, you need to fix that. Theres nothing about the ubiquiti integration that prevents that from working correctly.
