I cannot get e-welink app to install again. I want to get rid of it, but it takes some time to figure out how to treat BL602 devices to run OpenBK. So I wonder how to get the app going again.
Here is the log attached.

Actually with the right links I was able to install HACS and SonoffLan from AlexxIT and that worked perfectly!

Hi @prime fjord i had gotten sonoff rf bridge r2
As you know it works on ewelink
Can you help me integrate it in my HA?

Hi! Not now, I am at work. Later in the evening it may be possible

Okay, thanks will wait. For now, just wanted to know was it through HACS or some other normal integration?

prime fjord
#

Just normal I think.

#

Oh, I checked. So SonoffLAN is addressed vie HACS.

#

Sonoff and SonoffLAN run in parallel on my system.

You got any tutorial video or something?

Which repository to be added in hacs

That is a problem. I did buy a lot of different components years ago, because I wanted to test how too proceed with automation of my home and my rental flat. But then I moved and abandoned all the projects and moved again and now I am hopefully on my final place to live. Checking all automation systems, Home Assistant won the race against a few others.

#

Then I tried to integrate all the things I had. Some worked out of the box like all the Hue stuff, the windows blinds and the Ring cameras and so on. Other things like all the old little Sonoff sensors and the Sonoff Bridge gave me a lot of headache. So I installed a lot of stuff, following a lot of blogs and tutorials. A little network disaster struck when re-arranging LAN and VLAN.

#

Finally, with the support of Sonoff, I figured out, that all my Sonoff devices where outdated from a firmware perspective, but my Sonoff ZB Bridge could not be updated without a Sonoff ZB Bridge Pro or ZB Dongle Plus / E.

#

So finally Sonoff / eWelink got a bit more modern, so I connected the Sonoff ZB Dongle to a windows system and used the browser based flash update tool to update that dongle.
https://sonoff.tech/de-eu/blogs/news/sonoff-dongle-quick-flasher-effortless-firmware-updates-in-1-minute?srsltid=AfmBOopzJMwpzUgYL7atIDEBWCWTL56cnlj-g39nkCcCXEwY8eeuc4Si
You probably get that also in english or any other language

#

After updating this dongle, I could connect the ZB Bridge and could update it's firmware and after that I could use the eWeLink App to update all the other old bits and bolts I had collected carryinf the Sonoff brand.

#

Then I moved the USB Dongle Plus E to the HA server and assigned the USB port to the HA VM, I probably got all devices shwoing up with the normal Sonoff app from HA.

#

The HACS Sonoff LAN is another story, if I remember correctly. The problem is, that I own a Sonoff Panel NS. Not the pro but the ESP32 based cheap one. The reason to buy it was, that I only want to control one light for three different configurations, one SONOS with three different stations and one temperature. As that thing also has a temperature sensor in it, it is perfect for the job.

#

Unfortunately I never got it to work in any stable means. Initially there where many different blogs installing different things to get different look and feels. Then I went with blueforcers solution and it was almost perfect. Now since summer, with every update of HA another thing falls apart. Every second update I get a warning of unsupported things in my activities around the NS Panel. I think I installed Sonoff LAN because I hoped that it will solve that issues. But currently there is another error on my NS Panel configuration after an update of HA.

I understood your point

#

Youre using zigbee coordinators, but im using smart devices through wifi
Hence im planning to integrate sonofflan in my HA

#

Why dont you use wifi for all the automation smart devices?
Im thinking to buy a Sonoff RF bridge r2, as im tired of using different rf remotes for my curtains, wish to integrate them all in the hub.

Was just figuring how would i integrate it in my HA, researched that id need HACS for it, the problem is im running it on docker, so i dont see the “add on” option so i need to run a command in terminal to add the repository
If im not wrong this is the github right?
https://github.com/AlexxIT/SonoffLAN”
what would be the command for the terminal? Any idea?

Also any other suggestion would be appreciated

@acoustic ocean Sorry, pretty busy in building the new home-lab and so not always on the PC. I am probably concentrating on Ubiquity, Hue and Shelly and some specialty devices that I build with ESP32. I'll look around for "non sponsored" videos about the Sonoff Displays, and then I decide which way to go. I have no problem in using Zigbee, WiFi or LAN. As long as the systems are self-organizing I don't mind. I use WiFi 6 and WiFi 7 hotspots and 3 dedicated WLANs and 5 dedicated VLANs. So no problem with that. About the curtain control, I guess these are Tuya devices which now use eWeLink and that is what Sonoff now also moved to. So having Sonoff under control means you should find your curtains as well. I didn't try with mine as they are still in a box somewhere in the barn after moving.
