Piper add-on and iGPU

Can iGPU be used with the Piper add-on? If so, how? It is running as a VM in my Unraid setup.

Piper can be used with a GPU but it is generally slower and not recommended.

Ah ok good to know. How about Whisper? Just trying to speed up the voice PE process as much as possible

Depends on the model. You really need a dGPU for larger ones. Not sure why piper would be slower with a GPU. It's usually not needed for it though.

I have never been able to get piper working with gpu acceleration of any kind but also as stated its not really needed.
realistically: whisper on igpu is unlikely

i tried a few things and never got it working but honestly the stock addon on the n150 runs just fine anyway. specially now with streaming speeding it up even more

There's an issue related to this https://github.com/rhasspy/piper/issues/598 and I have seen that my 3090 makes short phrases take longer with Piper.
