So a few weeks ago my original setup (OrangePi Zero 3 running HA Supervised) appeared to get stuck in some sort of soft lock state. It was caught in a constant state of restarting over and over as evidenced by multiple things. It's still sitting on my floor so I can plug it back in to replicate the issue if need be.
So I took this as a good excuse to migrate my setup over to HAOS on a raspi 3b+ that I had ordered a few months ago that was sitting waiting to get turned into a new HAOS box. However unfortunately nothing I have done is able to fix the soft lock on the original device, and restoring any of the backups that I have causes the raspi to brick and become unresponsive. I've tried restoring from multiple different backups, I've tried to ensure any hardware that was plugged into the old device is present during restore, I've made sure to only restore the bare minimum of settings, I've restored from the initial menu and inside a running HA instance but nothing I do works.
Every time, without fail, the restore process bricks the raspi and it becomes completely unresponsive. To fix it, I have to reflash the SD card with a fresh blank copy of HAOS and then wait for it to initialize. I've tried this about 15 times probably at this point, I'm definitely at the end of my rope and sanity. Way out of my depth here. Haven't had control of the lights in my room for weeks lmao.
