Perhaps you can help me. I am looking for an inexpensive outdoor camera with tilt and pan, which can be powered by battery and solar panels and works with Home Assistant. The price should be well under 100 Euros. I want to find out what animals are walking through the garden at night. I have an old outdoor infrared floodlight that lights up the whole garden.
An indoor camera that has an infrared mode but does NOT have built-in IR LEDs or can be switched off (if the camera is inside and filming outside, the lighting must not be inside as the window becomes a mirror) would also work.
Any suggestions are welcome.
#Inexpensive outdoor cam with battery and solar power wanted

battery/solar cameras tend to have less functionality because they need to be designed to conserve power.
realistically for the functionality you describe you are probably better off trying to run power for a standard outdoor camera with the functions you want.
Of course you're right. Unfortunately, I have no power supply at the point where I have a reasonable view of the garden. There's no way to put in a power supply. So I have to compromise.
You could get one of those wildlife cameras that are motion triggered for somewhere around 50 bucks on Amazon. They have little to no connectivity but their batteries last for a good while. Can check them every couple days or weeks and see what runs around
Reolink solar
Have multiple, work great
If you can push the budget to maybe £300 (and I appreciate that's a big jump) you could use something like an Anker 521 and a 100-200W solar panel (total around £230, I'm not sure about Euro pricing) plus a "wired" camera
The battery is around 260Wh and can therefore power the camera for more than 24 hours (assuming ~12W or less which is fairly typical) and the solar panel would be able to power the camera during the day while charging the power bank back up. In the UK or further south 100W should do the job even in winter, and further north you might need a bit more
