My RPI 3B+ crashes, leaving my entire home assistant instance down, for no apparent reason. Only fixes when RPI gets a manual reboot by unplugging and replugging the power.

SD card is also a likely candidate if your using one?(and if you are you should not be)

Nope, using a USB SSD. Any recommendations for better RPI's? Nothing shows up, the network just cuts off and you can tell. The PI begins to cool down significantly and the Ethernet stops receiving signal.

sounds like it could just be a hardware failure. does happen over time
ensure you have a full backup and your backup key stored somewhere safe.
you could try a fresh install and restore but i am not sure if it would help or not
