I just recieved a yellow with a CM5 from https://www.seeedstudio.com/Home-Assistant-Yellow-Kit-with-Power-Supply-p-5674.html. It came with 3 thermal pads One square one rectangle and one a smaller square missing a corner. It also has 4 smaller head screws. Does that mean it is now safe to screw down the board? And does the third pad goes on the chip with the raspberry on it? There is another pack with what is described in the documentation at https://yellow.home-assistant.io/cm5-kit/.

It is NOT safe to use the screws with the CM5!
No idea what Seeedstudio included additionally. The original kit included two pads.

Because the screw heads were half the diameter of the ones that were used with the CM4, I decided to give it a try, and everything worked fine.
