I have had my home assistant as a front face to hubitat for like 2-3 months now and have worked decently well but now i want to set up a screen with the home assistant dashboard with the same raspberry pi 5 i'm running HA on. Is the only way through docker with raspian as operating system and if it's the only way then how do i do it?

I have now tested docker and everything went smooth until i realised i can't use addons with docker and that's a dealbreaker for me so i had to go back to the os

addons themselves are essentially just docker containers too, though you may have to find out some of the exact configuration necessary yourself
(if you learn about docker-compose, it's pretty convenient, too. But yeah, it does require a more significant learning effort than HAOS)

alternative option: setup HAOS as a VM, then you can have your cake and eat it, too. Browser in kiosk mode showing your dashboard on raspbian, HAOS with addons in the VM

Thanks! But i don't really have the time to learn that kind of stuff so i just went with docker and installed wiregaurd and adgaurd seprate
