On my "individual devices detail usage" chart, for each bar, the total consumption equals my solar panel production. That means it invents untracked consumption equal to the difference. It also invents negative untracked consumption when my usage exceeds my production.

I do not actually track my total consumption and have no correct source to add.

I'm not sure what you mean. For the individual device usage the untracked consumption is simply the house consumption minus the devices

So if your grid and PV sensors are correct so will the untracked consumption be

If you don't have enough sensors such that the untracked is meaningful, best you can do is just click to hide it and leave it turned off.

It seems to misinterpret the solar panels as a grid sensor, somehow

What does it look like exactly?

Oh like that

I suppose you need grid sensors for it to make sense

It doesn't strictly require a grid sensor to have untracked energy, as this could be a valid setup for an off-grid type setup. It just requires that you have something that produces energy, and if you add it the assumption is that it can see everything you have. I understand it's not perfect for every setup, and it can be hidden if its of no value.
