#Looking to migrate from virtual box within debian 12, to proxmox. Do I just import full backup?

I currently have HAOS in a virtual box vm within debian 12 bare metal. I am looking to wipe my whole drive, and install proxmox instead, where i will install the proxmox HA vm.
When I set that up, do I just import my latest full backup of HA on the startup page of HAOS? Will everything be restored as it was or will I need to reconfigure some things? Will all of my entities still work and things like cloudflared (installed as addon)?
Is there anything else I should be aware of and consider?

Also how do I pass my Zigbee dongle using ZHA through proxmox into HAOS?

Thanks

I'd recommend you download a backup and import it rather than the whole VM.
PVE has a USB option in the Hardware tab of the VM.

You have to create the VM and import the image first but yeah, it's just importing the HAOS backup from the old system. Mostly everything will work. You might have to reconfigure networking and some paths if you used things like /dev/ttyX.
Don't forget to reboot the VM after restoring.

awesome thanks! And ok I would have forgotten that lol

I just need to minimise downtime as much as possible for HA and I am very new to proxmox. Just been following through a course on it first to prepare
