#Error after entering 2fa code, unable to access admin account

I get a "something went wrong" error after entering the 2fa code to my only admin account. I can log into accounts that do not require 2fa, but those are not an admin accounts.

One major change I can think of is I switched our network router and instead of 10.0.0.x it is now 192.168.200.x. Any idea how to get back into my admin account?

So I should reset my password to bypass the 2fa error? Any idea why 2fa stopped working so I can avoid that issue in the future?

In theory, the IP change shouldn't cause any problems. I’m not sure what the reason could be, but at least this way you should be able to log in.

Regarding the 2FA error, here are some possible causes that come to mind:

  • Time issue (the time on the server or client is incorrect)
  • Browser cookie (possibly a restriction like uBlock is not resolved on the new IP)
  • The token might be corrupted.
