usually most smart home stuff are quite expensive, i was wondering if there are, devices cheap, that work great.

i've bought buttons, temperature sensors and a couple of relays all around that point

plenty of esp32s are a couple of dollars each and good for esphome stuff

Esp32 is a cheap microcontroller. Esphome is software you can load onto it that makes it easy to configure sensors and outputs
