You can try to mount a media share named "frigate" in the storage settings. Maybe the add-on accepts that.

To create that mount, there cannot be a pre-existing directory with the same name.

yeah that's where i'm stuck unfortunately.

i think i might just end up going proxmox and running it outside haos

I would stop Frigate, move/rename the preexisting directory, mount the network share to "frigate" and when that is done, copy all files and directories from the old renamed directory to the mounted network share. Then start Frigate again.

I up-vote this but i would suggest to run Frigate as separate container, esp if you're also using Coral usb.
