Jorg suggest I post this here.

Hi, hopefully this is the correct place to post this. (if not, apologies). It has been driving me nuts all day. I'm sure it's something simple but not sure what it might be.

I woke up this morning and for some reason my dashboard ,and my login screen, in Chrome and Microsoft Edge are stuck in Russian. However, my login screen on Firefox and Safari is fine. I’m on a Mac but when check Chrome on my Windows machine, things seem to work fine.

This leads me to believe that there is an issue with the language set in the browser. Not sure why it would change all of a sudden, I went to bed and it was fine. When I go into Chrome → Settings and look at Languages (chrome://settings/languages) , I have one language set and it’s English (United States) as you can see below.

I thought maybe it was a cookie issue so I blew away all the cookies and history on my profile in Chrome and nothing changed.

Thanks for the reply. I know I checked this before. However, to be thorough, I wanted to check it again and for the life of me I cannot figure out where it is.

Can you point me to the location so I'm not crazy?

BTW. it was always my understanding that the language was in the profile setting, and I find it strange that on Safari and Firefox it's the correct language but on Chrome and Edge it is incorrect. Does that make sense why it would be like this?

What part of your dashboard is the wrong language? The screenshot you posted seems to be correctly all english.

There is also a server language setting in settings/general

I posted this from the browser that is working. Let me grab it from the other. It’s everything , from the login screen to settings, to all the dashboards.

What does the user settings page say for language in Chrome?

Why do you think that is Russian language? Looks like garbage, I think it is just a ROT2 in ASCII codes. E.g. F->D

That's an interesting thought. Weird thing is it's in Edge and Chrome.

If it's only in HA, would try restart in safe mode

It's on HA and ONLY in Chrome and Edge. Firefox, Safari on the same machine is fine.

Now i"m going down the plugin route. That's going to bug me

Downloaded Chrome Beta as I know it's a separate install on Mac. Go to try and log in and I get this. No plugins installed for it.

Not necessarily a browser plugin but could be an HA plugin, like some custom card installed into frontend.

But wouldn't it be the same regardless of what browser I was using then if it was in HA? I now thing this is maybe my laptop all of a sudden vs. HA.

maybe, a custom resource has full access to javascript so it could easily behave differently in different browsers

Restarted in Safe Mode. Same issue unfortunately

Did this from Chrome Beta that has nothing running in it.

Maybe something got borked and I just need to restore from backup. No clue what else this might be

Restore did not fix it either.. 🤷‍♂️ . I really don't want to redo my laptop. We'll see I guess

Hmmm. Seems to be a font issue now that I play around with it more. If I uncheck font-family in the inspector, some of the words go back to normal
