Hello, I have a washing machine and a TV connected to the SmartThings app. I would like to upload the integration to home assistant, is there a way to do this without nabu casa? I have configured remote access using zerotier.

Are they tuya devices? I have some in a remote building and found that installing the tuya integration in HA https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/tuya allowed me to keep an eye on those devices and even program automations for them via HA rather than tuya. For example, I have a light that is managed in HA by sun elevation.

I do also use nabu casa, but I don't think that's relevant for the above usage. The remote building has has only a sim in a router, which connects to only tuya, not directly to HA. HA then connects to tuya via the tuya integration.

There is also a smart things integration https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/smartthings/ which could presumably be used for the same purpose if they are not tuya devices, but I have no direct experience of that.

These are not Tuya Smart devices, I try through Smartthings integration, but it shows me that nabu casa is needed. Hence my question, how to bypass nabu casa and how to make it work without it?

Check the current Samsung SmartThings v3 (Amazon Affiliate Link) - https://amzn.to/2QLsqOV
Some people have a hard time choosing between Home Assistant and SmartThings as their main Smart Home hub. But I will say why don't you have them both working at the same time? I will show you how to do that in this video.

Weird, yeah you need remote access with a domain name secured with SSL. So the easiest way probably is Nabu Casa. That's a really really dumb limitation of the Smart Things api.
