#Aqara buttons no longer register

I have no idea what happened here. I have two aqara buttons in my system that I use to turn everything on and off. They both worked fine until recently. Then they simply stopped registering.

I know that this isn’t related to my other issue of wireless interference, because I have this problem even when everything in my store is turned off. I can re-pair the buttons with the coordinator and it sees them fine. But the presses never show up in the log. When I go into the entity I can see when the last button press supposedly was, and then…nothing.

I’ve seen a couple posts about this in other spots online, like the HA forums, but I don’t think there’s been any solutions.

If I can’t get these to work again, what alternatives to people use for physical buttons? I’m not wedded to the zigbee protocol (in fact I’d like to avoid it). For now, I’ve set my routines to respond to a device being turned on or off.

Update: for the third time, I tried removing the button and re-adding it to HA. This time it worked. Go figure. This has been my experience with most of Home Assistant…😒

Welp, I’m bringing this back from the dead because the same exact thing is happening again. The button worked just fine for over a month and now the system simply isn’t responding to it. I can’t just keep removing it and adding it again. This isn’t ok. Absolutely nothing was changed.

I’d really love it if someone could help. And no, it’s not the battery. The battery is fine this time and was fine last time.

I’ve heard of issues with certain Aqara products and hubs/coordinators other than their own. That said I have one of those buttons and it’s solid. It’s connected to an SLZB-06 coordinator only about 10-15 feet away

You didn’t happen to mention which coordinator you’re using or if it’s ZHA/Z2M though unless I missed it

Has happened to me too. I ended up throwing them out and buying third reality ones. My problem happened after a battery change.
