In general device names should not change so I guess it’s related to the integration you’re using

It is the PV system that does not want to keep this name in HA. But ha should remember this, right? There must be a reason why they are deleted or overwritten when home assistant is restarted?

No idea what PV system is but normally device names are kept as they were originally made or user has changed them.

It sounds like the integration is setting friendly name to "" - might be worth having a look in their github issues to see if other people have experienced it

You have an integration that talks with your solar power system, right?
That integration can change things about the entity, including deleting the name. I don't know why they would want to do that, but they can do that - so check with them if they are doing it or not

Why am I doing this? Because. 🙂
Automations are to run on them later, so it is important to find out why they are being deleted. I have also already checked whether identities change or new ones are written. This does not seem to be the case.
