Will do

#

Never rebooted in safe mode

noisy NUC probably means CPU is elevated. You may want to also grab logs and profile/call grinds. Hopefully a dev can look at those for you

Well I thought I had upgrade to b8. I always b7. Now upgraded will see

#

Seems to have settled down now after the update

#

Nope sorry spoke to soon. As soon as I got to the dashboard it loses connection.

You'll have to share the logs they're called log1 after you restart

#

Also check your memory

Ok just do I understand the steps.
Reboot in safe mode first?
Get logs called log1

Yeah try safe mode first that's always a good bet if you post the logs here perhaps somebody will figure out what's going on. Comb through them make sure there's nothing personal Etc

Was you doing something special?

#

I was playing with ZHA - added nez TRV (sonoff trv, so ZHA is pretty bad with them. probably will switch to z2m) and then with Better Thermostat, so maybe...

#

and yes, CPU went up, which means temperature as well, as something got stuck and then the ha was rebooted 😄

#

but this was 10 hours ago..since then no issues, so hard to say...

#

and I have a pretty good machine i7 (6 cores, 12 threads) and 32 GB RAM - ideal for HA

Yeah without logs it's almost impossible to figure out what's going on. At this point I'd recommend submitting an issue and attaching the logs along with information about your system. Sounds like something is looping does it still do that if you start in safe mode?
