#yeah, if you copy the yaml to a new

Thanks! I was more thinking of having an Overview that auto-updates, but the copy of the default dashboard does just that. So all's fine.
ah, I'm long passed the days of a default dashboard, but maybe its time to go back since I'm messing more things up then anything lol
I'm still in the process of configuring my devices, and sometimes I use Overview to see if I've missed a device or an entity.
you can get to this sort of thing, but as nice as it looks, I'm having a ton of issues. Mostly noob and user error. Oh and I've been in HA for over 2 years lol
Looks pretty clean and concise!
I can see what you mean with noob and user errors; I have an HA Green and don't find it super easy to get a grip of anyway.
oh, in that case, you do a default dash board, copy the yaml, then make a new dashboard called anything, then make your main custom dashboard whatever and have a second tab that you paste your default dashboard yaml to and change the visibility to just you so that only you access it. If i made any sense there at all
overview i hate cus you cant change the name, but im still running with it
just too lazy to get around to it, its on the to do list
there, just moved everything out of overview to a new dashboard
you'll pick things up as you go, and at first its very overwhelming, its going to get very expensive and very time consuming. But the expensive bit is cus your going to see things in your house you want to automate and you get more devices and rinse and repeat. Then you tweak and tweak and tweak. Then when things stop working for some unknown reason. "Get Home Assistant" they say... ugh. But its a love hate anyhow! Have fun!
Well, I want to learn mastering HA, so I'm taking the long way, starting with a dashboard from scratch. Also, I'm using the "experimental" section view which arranges things the way I want to, as opposed to "masonry" which feels kind of confusing and overloaded.
