I just got back home and am flashing the latest to see how it goes
It took maybe 5 min to get there but eventually the setup screen appeared
Ok setup took about 8 min and then the onboarding page appears
When you create you flash your SD, do a bunch of messages popup about formatting the new partitions?
Or is that cause of the format I chose when I reformat my file? I think it defaults to FAT.
so, I finish the flashing, a bunch of messages popup to reformat and stuff and I ignore them all. Then I plug the SD into my Pi 5, plug in the ethernet cable, then power and it has a green steady light, then it flashes green really quickly for less than a second then it is solid red after that.
and I can never access it throught the local browser
I don’t see messages about the partitions because it doesn’t get mounted when the process completes. At that point I remove it.
I just flashed using windows instead of Mac.
When complete, it shows
Home Assistant OS 12.3 (RPi 5) has been written to Generic
STORAGE DEVICE USB Device
You can now remove the SD card from the reader.
I removed the USB reader and then SD and now checking if the pi boots with it again
Yeah I’m using windows. When it completes, the same message shows for me but it also creates a bunch of partitions as I have mentioned.
ok and you don't even click on those right? Just remove the SD or USB reader?
