For Aqara always pair in place, and always pair through a nearby router. Don't let them pick, and don't move them. See the top pinned message.
I dont have any zigbee routers, I use zwave but I had spare zigbee door sensors. I only have 3 battery door sensors
Ill try it again today pairing in place
You know that both Zigbee and Z-Wave are mesh networks?
No routers == sad life
Direct range from the coordinator is maybe 6 meters
huh, i have 2 other sensors in about the same location and they seem to work fine
"about" matters not a lot
I mean, the sensor im trying to pair would be closer to my base than the sensors that actually work
but even when I stand 2 feet away from the router with the device, it still has the error that I originally said
thats the main problem, i think
yeah its about 2 ft away from my hub
Did you put fresh batteries in the sensor?
The problem you're describing means a weak signal or low battery
And add some routers
alrihgt, thanks!
