More context will be needed, the cause of the error is probably few lines above this message. Also wrap the copied logs with triple backticks, or better share it as a file , so the formatting isn't messed up.

That's strange, I haven't encountered anything like that. You still do follow the instructions from the docs, i.e. you're running the actual build in the Docker container started by scripts/enter.sh, right?

Yeah I installed docker and then ran the ha command sudo scripts/enter.sh

Looks like you are building for rpi4_64 when you said you wanted to build for rpi5?

Regardless of what you are attempting to build, try building it from a Debian 11 or 12 VM. I've had success on a Debian 11 VM using an Intel mac

Yeah I just wanted to first try for pi4. My final goal is to change the default url home assistant boots up with. I don’t want to configure it after it boots up, I want it to booth up with the custom link.
Do y’all think this is the correct way to go about it, or is there a simple / other method

Just ask if it's possible to change the hostname in HAOS prior to installation in the relevant channel. Building the whole OS from source just to change the hostname at boot is overkill in my opinion.
