I have 5-6 eufy wifi cameras, it took me a log of work to get them to not disconnect. Wifi is a pain
It's just that this one has disconnected dozens of times. Sometimes for a good while.
I've had 3 cheap wifi cameras before this in the same spot. I never noticed any issues with them like I've had with this.
do you have wifi channel set and not on any kind of "auto"? i pretty much turned off any auto type of settings. it really helped
yea could be fauly device, but also hard to tell with wifi. it be like that sometimes
so many variables at play
The only changes I've made is to lower the bit rate so that it would stop buffering in Home Assistant.
Other than that I haven't touched any other settings.
well imo any other issues start with your wifi settings, make sure nothing is auto.
It is connected to 5GHz Wifi with a low bar number(2) if that matters.
As for wifi settings, I'm not seeing anything I can change. At least that I'm aware of.
Would changing my DNS to static instead of Auto help?
no, but imo a good idea to change it to something other than your ISP for other reasons
it could be that its just too far for 5ghz for this camera and it loses connection
I'm still just using Google Wifi, and I did move one of my points to a spot near by. But the bars are still low.
Okay so maybe just have it end in a different digit? That should be fine?
no, you need to set it to a real DNS server. google them. i like 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 but totally opinion and situational
