OK, if the Google Nest Hub works, that is a good starting point and HA should be able to leverage that border router. You should be using the scenario (from the docs) to share a device from Google Home to HA, did you try that yet ?
If we are talking about sharing directly from the device settings in the Google Home application, and then selecting Home Assistant when it asks me, yes, I have already tested, same result, unknown error just after the "Add in Home Assistant"
Did you see our recomendations about networking ? Only Home Assistant OS is supported for Thread devices, installed on bare metal. Using VM is at your own risk and needs some manual tweaks.
Can you go to HA Setings --> Integrations --> Thread --> Configure and make a screenshot of that screen ?
Yes, I followed the recommendations. I use already HAOS. I can't post screen here, button is greyed. What does mean "bare metal" please?
Looks like you tried to use the SkyConnect as Thread radio while you also have a Google Nest Hub. HA tried to setup a preferred thread network but Google has overwritten that config. Best way to fix it now is to remove the Thread configuration from your SkyConnect. Make sure that the Thread Bodrer Router add-on is also uninstalled. Endresult should be that only the Google thread network is listed with the nest hub in it
Ok, thank you. I don't use Skyconnect. I'm currently using a Sonoff ZBDONGLE-E, with the latest Openthread firmware. So, if I understand correctly, I need to delete:
- Openthread addon
- Openthread firmware of Sonoff key
- Maybe Openthread integration?
That's right ?
