I'm root and can see /mnt/data/supervisor/addons/data/core_duckdns/letsencrypt/xxxxx.duckdns.org, is it one of the files there?

The reason I'm asking is, D-DNS seems to claim it updates the cert but browsers claim the cert has expired!

Thanks, that is the same as the ssl dir in SMB it looks like.

Renaming fullchain.pem did not change anything so maybe nginx is caching it?

oh that's where the duckdns add-on puts the certificate. Are you using the add-on to handle the certificate?
