#HA not working no ipv4 address

Hi. I am a complete novice with HA so please bear with me. I am running HA on a PC win 10 using Virtualbox. The PC is now connected to the router via LAN. I have installed it OK and have had the HA local working and have even managed to add an add on. All was working just fine for several days when it all stopped. I have connected the PC via LAN (originally it was WIFI), rebooted the PC, restarted Virtualbox and the HA. However during HA start up there is a message saying: Failed to start network manager. Also once startup is complete I see there is no IPv4 address for enp0s3. I have looked around for a fix (one of which was to use LAN) and have re-setup the network in VM settings/network/advanced to allow all in promiscuous mode. In the DHCP table on the router there is no entry for HA. If anyone has any ideas, I would be grateful for any help.

You probably have to go into your VM's settings and set the correct adapter. Maybe you could share a picture of it and one of your windows' network center?

It currently is Bridged Adapter. How do I find out what the correct adapter is?

Right click the start menu and then Network Connections. You'll see the name in Network status there. From there click Change adapter options and find the adapter with that name. ipconfig /all could also be useful. Please send me a screenshot of all of this and the network settings of your VM

Image posting is blocked in most channels to discourage people from sharing text as images. Sharing text as images assumes that everybody sees the world as you do, which isn't the case. Some people are colour blind, or have visual impairment that means they can't make sense of an image of text.

OK so there there were 2 network connections effectively LAN and WIFI. I have selected the LAN. I have rerun HA and lo and behold it all works. Thanks so much. Odd that it all stopped working in the first place but I have seen that WIFI is not recommended. Still its up and running so thanks for your help
