#The Caddy works for Jellyfin but not
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
It's hard for people to help if they don't know what you did...
Two key things:
- You have to tell HA about your proxy, and it generates warnings in the log about that
- You can't proxy HA under a path (
https://whatever.example.org/ha) it has to be at the root (https://ha.example.org/)
Thank you for answering. Sorry I am totally new to Caddy and I just followed some youtube video on Caddy setup so I wasnt very sure about the Caddy HA setup to begin with
I have Home Assistant install in Virtualbox and Caddy install on Ubuntu in Virtualbox as well
Will giving you my Caddyfile settings help you understand better?
Please use a code share site to share code or logs, for example:
- https://dpaste.org/ (select YAML for the language)
- http://pastie.org/ (select YAML for the language)
- https://paste.debian.net/ (you guessed it, select YAML as the language)
Please don't use Pastebin, since it can randomly add spaces to the main view. Please also don't share text as images since it makes it harder for people to help you. Remember that others may have colour blindness, impaired vision, etc.

oh I changed that. sorry. it org

Did you check HA's log?
I opened a browser and used this URL: https://989HA.duckdns.org
and it returns a "400: Bad Request"
Where do I check this log?
If you're having problems with your updates to your configuration:
- Check the troubleshooting steps
- Check your log file - remembering you may need to set logger to
infoordebug - Explain what the problem you're having is - sharing configuration, errors, and logs
I have this in the logs "A request from a reverse proxy was received from 192.168.1.174, but your HTTP integration is not set-up for reverse proxies"
192.168.1.174 is my caddy Machine
IS there something I need to setup in Home Assistant to allow the reverse proxy to work?
What is this?
It's giving you a clue about turning off the notification ping
@nimble idol When using Discord's Reply feature it defaults to pinging the person you reply to, which can get frustrating for the target. Use Shift + click on the Reply option, or click @ ON to @ OFF to stop this - on the right side of the compose bar.
You have to change this every time (thank the Discord devs for that).
See the docs there for correctly configuring HA
