#HomeAssistantOS to Docker

Extract the homeassistant.tar.gz and put your config contents where your docker container expects them
you'll need to manually reconfigure any add-on replacements
Is this in the config folder?
This zipped file is contained in your backup.zip
Okay, so unzip my backup, find that file, and then put the content of the config folder from the backup in the new config folder?
yes
Then just restart container and I should be good?
Awesome!! Thanks
That didn’t work
What happened/didn't happen?
Just loaded old config
Trying again
Tried it again and had the same results
Also for add-one, looks like that isn’t available in docker.
I understand that, but the add on options aren’t even in the docker version, so I have to recreate it outside of that.
Any thoughts why I wouldn’t look at my backed up files?
Is the add one not being there, causing it to override what I have ?
Might be better off wiping this Ubuntu and just installing home assistant OS…..
When you moved the folder did you make sure to move all the hidden files there?
Probably not, I will try again with hidden files
