Originally my focus was Zigbee. But, because I had some BT speakers and a BT dongle laying around, I wanted to try it to see what potential HA had. Well, I quickly ran in the aforementioned issue.
I was going to buy a Zigbee stick (an EFR32 one iirc), but now that I've seen that it may be problematic as well, I've put off my purchase for now.

Having said that, thank you! I think I'm seeing the end of the tunnel. I'll go the wired/ethernet route, will see how it goes
