Well its a meant to prevent kidos from playing with the seat adjusters and wearing down/producing excessive heat in the servo's.

The system detects abuse in the form of an unnatural amount of adjustment within a period of time and temporarily disables the adjustment.

Now when i say excessive usage, i mean mashing the buttons tens of times/minute for several minutes.

i dont see this as a negative what so ever. Its akin to your phone limiting the battery temperature by dimming the screen under direct sunlight

i somewhat agree. But as long as its done appropriately, im fine with it. Afaik tesla only collects anonymous metadata that isnt linked to any one user. As someone who's got a pretty hardcore security/privacy standard, i'd be the first person to call something out if i saw it.

the only user/VIN linked data they collect is opt-in with a large warning before you sign up.
