i fell in love with the bmw 1series in driving school so my first car was just that....and i heavily abused it to the point where the turbo charger made loud siren like noises.i smoked in it, slept in it (alone and of course with one or another lady on the back seat) and i couldn't be arsed to fix anything since it just ran like it should...then i drove it to spain and back ~2200 km on dry wheel bearings because i thought the tires were the culprit... i scratched the paint, ruined the bumpers, ... the list goes on and on

i had the pleasure of driving the audi s3 (2000-something model) of my best friend. it's just a simple straight 4 turbo engine.... wheel spin at the 3rd gear on all 4 wheels is kinda nice 🙂 but you have tow work hard to keep it straight in line tho...
but can't clutch it too hard at lower rpms or else the piston rods would bend...not an easy task with the equipped racing grade clutch ....
driving through the city is a challenging task when every stop at the red light is a gamble between hitting the front car and not driving away at all in time

Well at least i love how the homematic devices blend in with the existing "analog" switches and the-like so at least thermostats and switches are going to be costly. the asking price for a dimming actuator switch is about 56€ here sooo i might shop something cheaper for that purpose....

I wanted to learn some new thing so i decided to try a small project with a webserver with a seperated cms. And i am kinda done at this point and just want to now if i did something terrible wrong or forgot something especially regarding security.
- Domain with a A-Record to server IP
- Server running Ubuntu 20.04 Running ssh(not port 22) with pubkey auth. Ufw Firewall only allowing port 80 and 443 to nginx.
- Nginx configured as a reverse Proxy to localhost (domain1.net-> 127.0.0.1:8080 for example) and enforcing https
- Used Certbot to require SSL certificates
- On the backend Docker is running with a bunch of containers all only exposed to localhost (including the webserver ofc)
One thing remaining on my list is mail but apparently this is a bit messy because you need PRT-Record and a bunch of other stuff to send and recieve mail with said domain.
So rip it apart please, i am here to learn 🤔
