I think it comes from Linux not being good at describing security faults. It doesn’t work, people try this and that than give up. If Linux was better at verbose give feedback on why it doesn’t work I think it would be less laziness. I had issues with no access, even how I changed rigts and users, and error being cryptic. @steel crag I am curently living in a flat. Plan is to have a videodorbell at the flat dore and to make the "intercom smart" The shelly 1 will basicly the dore buzzer (when i finaly find the contacts on the intercom) but I need some way to get informed when the Frontdore bell is pressed

It's time to retire my Dell R610 enterprise server in favor of this <little> bad boy. That R610 server sucks so much power and is so under-utilized. I think this is a good choice. Paired with 32GB DDR4 and a NVME drive... I think it's going to do circles around the 10 year old $10k server for occasional game hosting, Plex, Home Assistant, other docker containers.

on a whim i decided to see if the rm4 could learn my rf temp sensors and it did. but it logged the code and data all into a single base64 string. I just transmitting it and my temp display kept showing the temp that was logged in the base64 lol so it's working, just locked to what is in that base64

after searching yesterday I don't think there is an easy way to convert that string so I can make use of it but someone who knows about rf and base64 could do it
