Morning all, I have what I hope is a quick one. My Home Assistant (Docker container) seems to have lost all access to the internet. Nabu Casa cant connect, nor can any cloud polling integrations. But the host the container is on and other containers on this machine are just fine. This worked fine for weeks and just this morning stopped working. Any Obvious things I should check first?

Is your port forward on your router still intact? I presume you can still connect from within the LAN, so docker network connectivity should be good

Oh yeah, that was the semi-related issue that I ran into overnight, though if you're not allowing remote access (need it for ST in my case until I get transitioned over to deconz), I migrated my domain to cloudflare dns hosting and the way they're proxying was managing to break everything

If you create a hotspot on a mobile device, its WiFi is used for said hotspot - you're no longer connected to your home router. If the intention is to prevent another device connecting to the internet, simply turn off your mobile data on the phone.

@languid turret Yes, Discord steers towards that as well. For example, we can get additional server features if we turn it on. That way Discord tries to get servers to enable it permanently.

@flat fossil A cyber-security breach at Home Assistant discord earlier this year was far worse than originally thought, it's been revealed.

The malicious phishing scam was discovered on September 12th, after it targeted hundreds of users with a Bitcoin Scam to obtain personal information.
I can confirm today a staggering 0 customers had their information stolen by hackers.
Announcements are being sent out to the hundreds impacted and forensic specialists (some mods) are continuing their investigation with new Phone Security verification been introduced.

I'm gonna start in here, just because I'm not sure where I should ask this question, so please forgive me if this is not the right place... I had an issue with my HA instance, and did a fresh install and began reinstalling the integrations I need while backing up before and after large changes. I have my backups from the previous install and was hoping to find some of my camera settings in there, because I had issues with adding one of them to the config in the past. What's the best way to open the backup file and copy and paste from my previous config.yaml?

It's strange but reassuring to see zigbee mesh networks change on the fly when adding new devices

Migrating from ST and Hue to deconz, my unraid machine running the deconz docker is in a server rack and I suspect that the tiny little USB antenna was having trouble making it all the way across my kitchen to the four lights that I had paired there and nothing inbetween. 😄

Added the two lights in the room that the server rack lives in and sure enough, kitchen lights working reliably now

And I was starting to worry about investing in some far too expensive lutron no neutral wire switches

Thanks - can you store more than one kind of data on them? Could one tag connect someone to wifi and then take them to a website, for example?

I guess it probably wouldn't have worked out anyway, I imagine in practice the delay in connecting to wifi probably would have the second step fail

I would argue this isn't cross posting. I didn't intentionally send a message in 20 different channels which it sounds like the rule is there to police. I took action in my own interests based upon recommendations from another user.
