This early afternoon, USPS came to deliver one package. I was expecting at LEAST 2, but would've been happy to receive 3 (one they misdelivered to someone last Sunday), but the redelivery never happened. I asked the guy before he got into his truck. "Is there only 1? I was expecting 2, per USPS Informed Delivery." he claimed he only had the one, and rushed to hurry off. heh

Around 5:30pm, however, same guy came back. Delivered the second package afterall.

I do like these ecolink sensors though! They did a good job on the very basic design concept of how to make them easy to put up.

At the same time though, in the Garage door tilt sensor, and now the door contact sensor, the double-sided tape they've been giving has been... rather small.

#

So much that I feel it;s important to cut it in half, myself and use it for the top and bottom points of the mounting plate. heh

The way Ring suggests you to install /their/ door sensors is to always put the sensor itself, on the part the moves (the door itself for example), and put the magnet on the frame.

Exactly. Because a sensor on the door itself, one can easily trick that with the simple magnet on the door trick.
