They had a path cut through the LED strips so that you could walk through them, and mirrors on the floor, ceiling, and walls to create an infinite effect.

They've likely mapped a 3D array with LED indexes then just have 3D animated brightness/colour maps. Probably running just on a custom controller.
The whole venue was a massive art installation with about 500 Epson projectors with overlaying projections all around the rooms. Getting the art to flow between the rooms and doing the overlapping projections would have been the hardest part I reckon.
The art itself flowed between the rooms too, so it wasn't just a single static art piece per room, it was all dynamic.

I built this trail cam cover like 3-4 years ago. it looks like a camo bird house that fits over the top of it and I mount it to a tree. it was all made out of wood so over time between the tree growing and swelling the back part warped. been using clamps to try and flatten it out over the past 3 weeks
