Quick question guys, if you could point me the right way. I'm new to hass and I'm trying to integrate zigbee2mqtt, followed the guide on the zigbee2mqtt site and it all works so far, my confusion atm is, I used packages: !include_dir_named packages to include a yaml conf which has a sensor which has an entry with name: "Status" so I can show it on the overview. The entity associated with this entry show's up as sensor.status, so I tried giving it a unique_id: "some_unique_status", I assumed the entity would show up as sensor.some_unqiue_status but it doesn't, it uses the name instead. Is my expectation wrong? Am I thinking about it wrongly? Where can I read up on this? Should I post this question somewhere else?

Not at home at the moment, but started a large highspeed transfer of data from old NAS to new NAS. To make life easy, used a Powerline thingy so I could set the new NAS up on a handy workbench.
Looks like the TP-Link powerline thingies didn't like all the transfer! Transfer failed after a few hundred gigs, and now ping is seeing 25% ping loss to both the new NAS and a Pi 4 setup next to it. Ping from NAS to Pi over the little switch connecting both of them to the powerline is perfect, so the only common factor is the Powerline stuff 😦
Will be running some Cat-6 if I can order some more!

I have family with Cystic Fibrosis who's been self isolating for a while now. My father who's in his 60s had a REALLY bad dose of Pneumonia a few years ago, which, because of having neices with CF, meant they've done silly amount of tests on him since to see if there was something that made him susceptable to Pneumonia. Makes Covid-19 really really damn scary.

Then again, the IT department saw what was coming and did bulk up the setup over the last month.
Zoom has also handled the extra load like a champ.
