the feed is fine for the most part. leaving it connected to the internet is a bad idea imo, and having motion on through it's app is the worst thing you could ever do. using the rtsp feed while locking it down from having net access and using a separate software for motion capture is not bad. but in like my case since there is no control over the bw/color swap mode during night time that can be annoying sometimes

Personally I think all cameras should be on a restricted VLAN, let the NVR do all motion tracking etc, unless it's HIK and you want line crossing, intrusion etc direct from the camera
