I didn't know hue had the option to change that.. I've not gotten around to changing the switches yet. So when someone hits the switch and the bulb loses power, it loses it's scene and brightness when it comes back on 😦

I think that's the setting actually. TRÅDFRI keeps brightness and hue, but turns on. HUE turns on to max by default.

when you want to try it on a cent vm rename enpx.. to eth0 (didnt worked otherwise on baremetal 🤷‍♂️ ) disable firewalld, NetworkManager and selinux. enable network and run ```

I've keep thinking...

I have a sliding glass back door, and I could put like a glass break sensor in case someone breaks it to come in when our alarm is on but I could also just leave the back door unlocked and use an open-close sensor.

This way a burglar trips the alarm but doesn't break our glass.

can only speak on my experience, i noticed that the guys involved in all the emergency stuff are basically clueless about the radios, typically appliance operators and some preppers too

then there is a group of the techno nerds that can build radios and they do zero emergency comms

public safety comms are honestly way more reliable and better placed than most ham stuff, especially in populated cities

It was also a Compaq "hot swap" power supply that put the "hot" in "hot swap". Plugged the thing in and flames (and smoke) literally shot out the back of it - took all the hair off my hand and part way up my arm.
