the highest potential of any of my cpus was core2duo e4300 which went easily from 1.8GHz to 3.0GHz 🙂

looks like 4.6-4.8 is doable with the 6600K so it's probably worth it to seek for a decent motherboard

that's the standard RF frequency so you should be able to find some device that can directly integrate it in HA if that's what you're after
