Here I am troubleshooting external connection issues and its the damn ban_ip.yaml

for me, I have about 30 calendars. In HA logs I see the IP was banned at 10:47:36. In ngnix, the logs say it was getting 500s from google. Then at 10:47:30 I saw 401, 401, then a 403 at exactly 10:47:37.

yes, a lot of calendars. Maybe not that many but its a lot. And used for various things.

so maybe because of the amount I have it hit the limit.

You can use your own router but all internet has to be routed through theirs first then to yours

There seems to have been some issue yesterday that should be fixed soon, but for me Kodi has been by far the best solution for watching stuff on Viaplay for example. It's the only platform that allows me to force a minimum quality for the streams, which makes the whole experience much nicer. I don't use Netflix so I can't say anything about how it works, but I tested it at some point and it seemed okay and better than on a Panasonic TV I've used it on.

There's been a change since, and drm should not be an issue anymore. YouTube (1080p/4k), Netflix and Viaplay have all worked for me without a glitch on Kodi running on both a Windows PC and a Linux based CoreElec on a Chinese tvbox

Very nice improvements @flat lintel , had one more suggestion to consider (if it's easy to do). Maybe the huge ass instructional block at the top of the page should not appear for logged out users / guests? Line of thinking on this is that there's users who either lurk or find these posts via Google search and that big ass banner with animated gif is quite annoying and distracting, especially on mobile.
