The only devices I've had issues with were eWeLink bulbs and the Tuya solar rainfall sensor. The latter straight up disappeared and never came back, the former just fell off the network constantly.

It might well be... I have a 'night mode' toggle so when I get up for a piss or w/e I don't get blinded by the lights. It caps them all at 20%.
Problem is it doesn't play well with other automations that turn on/dim lights.
So now I've got a script that takes brightness and transition as a parameter and performs an override using an if statement for when night mode is active. Now I have to use this override script in place of light.turn_on

The Parasoll sensors seem to have an issue where they get into a leave/rejoin loop that drains the battery until you power cycle them
Doesn't happen to everyone, and it's unclear why it happens
Shame too because they have a kind of unique form factor
Basically as compact as you can get for a sensor that uses a single AAA battery
So yes, don't use them for anything where you don't want to power cycle them every few weeks

how would i go about debugging an integration that is failing to add? I can't find any log evidence of my attempts to add the thing. the log file just doesn't show anything. i tried github a while ago and it just died, no one believed me "works here" isn't helpful.
it seems to have done it again when i last upgraded a week or so ago. problem is, it's subtle and you don't notice until one of your integrations just doesn't come back anymore.
so all the log files long since rolled out, and i have nothing useful diagnostically to give.
just the observation that i'm at 3 for 3 on HAOS upgrade -> random vlan lost.
as i asked a bit ago, no idea where i would go to turn on the kind of debug logging you probably need, and it was speculated when i raised the issue that this is a real corner case, so i'd be better off trying to inject a custom config into the docker container.
and in the mean time, i'll forget about all of this until it happens again because i have chronic memory issues, and i'll just click the button without remembering.

Some routers provide a tracker, depending on the WiFi connection status of a device. They just say home/not home. #1284966582375813201 might be able to help (depending on your router).
