Client Windows is still miserable.
My work laptop has so many issues with hardware randomly stopping working (audio, Bluetooth, WiFi). Yesterday it wouldn't let me close programs (even force quitting the process, wouldn't die).
Pretty much at the point that rebooting daily is required because something just randomly breaks and that's the only way to fix it.
Windows server - being free of most of those problematic bits, because no-one's expecting them to be there in the first place - is okay, most of the time

Plex playback can be hilariously janky, it sometimes tries to play 2 versions of the same show/movie at the same time, just slightly out of sync. Nothing appears in "Continued Watching" if it's triggered remotely and sometimes you just get audio, no video

I went to Debug > Events and listened for zha_event while pressing the button. I got data back, but it doesn't list the friendly name, just the device_iee, unique_id and device_id ..
How can I use either of those to find which device it is, ie the friendly name ??

There is a core integration which has the platinum quality, but it is actually very poorly built. It doesn't do proper conversions, it doesn't remember configurations, etc...
I expect the code meets all the quality criteria, but it "feels" far below bronze and I don't think it should have been accepted in core in its current state.
How do I get this addressed without hurting anyone's feelings?
I have created an issue for the integration to request some improvements, but I don't think anyone besides the maintainer will look at it.

I'd just like one I can put in my server rack to replace my existing lead battery UPSs, but looking at nearly $10k for a 1.5kVA UPS with around 1kWh of batteries, for which building it from parts would get you at least 5kW + 3kWh

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a great day/evening. I am not sure if it is okay to ask this question as clearly HA supports specific OS distributions. If my question isn't allowed, I apologize and i'll continue researching... I installed HA Supervised on an Ubuntu 24.04 Server.... struggled with many errors and seem to have gotten through them... the last one I keep struggling with is when I try and install an addon, i get AddonManager.install blocked from execution.... been really struggling to figure the solution out and was wondering if anyone might be able to share any information that might help?

So I set up EVCC which is a software-based charging/battery solution with a HA integration to control it. I don't have a smart charger/charger that can be controlled, however it's still super useful because it tracks total charging costs and proportion charged via solar which is very helpful. I'll be getting a home battery some time this year and will likely get a smart charger installed at the same time to make full use of this. Unfortunately my car doesn't report anything/isn't connected so can't get any of those metrics back. May look into creating an ODB-read device that can push data somewhere using an ESP.

Tesla is listed in their supported devices for Cars, Chargers and Energy Measurement - so I assume so. I believe Tesla already covers a lot of this stuff in their app - but nice to have it external to that.

Mine is a Cupra Born which is based off the ID.3, but unfortunately it's clamped in Australia and there's no cellular/Wi-Fi connection whatsoever. Hence probably needing some sort of jury-rigged ODB connection to read the values.
